Muddler Minnow (Black Single)

Muddler Minnow is a great fly pattern for Atlantic Salmon. You can fish it just under the surface or add some floatant to the deer hair head and skate the fly on the surface film. 

Works well in clear waters both for fresh and resident fish. For resident fish, try casting upstream and swinging the fly directly to the fish or just passing the fish.
