My name is Peter, and Im a fly tying addict!

When I was twelve years old, on the first day of the summer holliday, I broke my ankle in a football match. My parents knew that me not being able to fish for the whole summer would be a menace. So they bought me a beginners fly tying kit.
I could not stop tying and of course I wanted a fly rod as well. That summer defined who I am today and gave me a life long passion that will follow me for the rest of my days. I have been fishing char, grayling and trout but now Its all about silver, salmon and sea trout. But I also enjoy chasing big brown trouts late in the season.

I live in the northern tip of sweden and love the search of hidden waters. We have a lot of rivers and some of them are hard to reach by foot and the last seasons I have used a jet-pack boat to cover more water. The Baltic salmon is an endangered specie and we all have to remember to be careful. I hope our children will have the same oppurtunity like we have to fish after wild salmons and sea trouts but things does’nt look good.

This was a little something about me and I hope you all find some silver next summer.

Today I spend almost all my free time during the summer months fly fishing and marketing rivers, gear and other fly fishing related stuff. You can find me chasing Atlantic salmon, sea trout, Arctic char and resident brown trout in some of Iceland’s most pristine rivers and lakes.

I am a fly fisher & fish biologist from Waterford, Ireland. I can usually be found somewhere close to running water with a fly rod in hand trying to catch a fish, or with a camera strapped around my neck trying to capture a special fly fishing moment, or both.

Every year I learn something new about this fish, there is always something that surprises me. Why does it take our fly? Color combinations, size of the fly, what depth we fish on, speed of the fly etc. There is always something new to take in. This is what keeps me going.
