Step 2 wrap a small ball of midnight star signature dubbing about the same size as the tungsten bead then brush it out and halo back over the bead

Step 3 Take some midnight star classic tinsel or star flash and tie in half way, spread back and tie in again. Make sure to spread all around the tubing equally.

Step 4 repeat the process again this time with short strands to create a taper, add extra tapering with your scissors equally around the tube

Step 5 Tie in 2 rubber legs half way on top and fold back underneath and tie down again, to give you 4 legs in total, they should reach about 1/2 to 2/3rd of the way back

Step 6 tie in a good bunch of shadow fox pelt in black equally spreading all the way around the tube, the length should be about 1/3rd of the way back so the taper continues with the flash. Next trim away the waste with a scalpel or scissors.

Step 7 tie in jungle cock cheeks choosing a medium feather and tying in long as long or just short of the fox.

Step 8 add a dab of super glue to the head and wrap your thread through it, slide on a 4mm UFO tungsten disc in silver, then push back hard into the head of the fly to secure

Step 9 cut off the plastic tube 2-3mm from the cone and melt down, press the plastic down hard to the cone for extra security, check the flash lengths to make sure they are uniform and tapered.

Just add water!
