Tommi got into salmon fishing from running a record company. You can read more about his salmon fishing from the book, but here’s the quick picks from Tommi.

Quality or quantity?

Quality. It’s your own personal time. Quality also with the fish.
Floating or sinking?

Sinking. Really, really seldom floating.

Single or double hand?

Double. Sage Method 14’9”. I fished with a single hander once in Canada.

Hook or Tube?

Depends of the circumstances. I think I prefer a tube fly.

Hit hard or wait and let it turn?

I wait the fish to turn and use a loop, which I release even after the slightest take.

Never having exact answers is mentally exhausting for many. Others might enjoy it and just keep grinding without too much thinking.
